Job Summary:

As the Control Technician you will work closely alongside the operations manufacturing employees and engineering to support the electrical side of HVAC manufacturing. This includes but not limited to wiring, testing, and new project implementation.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):

  • Electrical device and wiring installation, testing, and product quality.

  • Support manufacturing operations by performing routine troubleshooting on controls.

  • Identify quality problems or improvement opportunities in the electrical assembly cells.

  • Implement solutions relating to quality, safety, and productivity of the electrical related manufacturing processes

  • Work as liaison with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to help implement new projects

  • Lead training of hourly operations employees in standard work for wiring and testing.

  • Will work as an individual contributor under moderate supervision as part of a small team.

  • Work with team members to tackle larger electrical projects that help to improve first pass yield and line output.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical Associate's degree, prefer two or more years of relevant industry experience involving troubleshooting or testing electrical circuits and assemblies.

  • A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience is required, 5 + years of experience is preferred.

  • Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret and use electrical schematics

  • Strong skills in utilizing a multimeter to check for continuity, and measuring both AC and DC signals

  • Strong communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications such as powerpoint, excel, and word

  • Provides and directs technical assistance to others.

  • Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.

  • Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.

  • Ability to guide and lead non-technical & technical personnel to technical solutions.

  • Implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.
