The City of Columbia, Missouri is seeking full time, highly motivated and dependable individuals willing to provide safe, professional and customer focused public transit service. We have full 8 hour shifts and split shifts available.
Work a
minimum of 40 hours per week,with the opportunity for overtime. The starting salary is a minimum of $15.75 per hour plus a shift differential of $1.00 per hour for all hours worked from 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to transport passengers in a passenger van on a demand-response system and provide customer service.
Essential Functions:
Operates and transports passengers in vans in varying weather conditions.
Provides customer service and passenger assistance, including operation of wheelchair lift and securement devices.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses or Certifications
- Valid Class E Chauffeur license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Streets and locations within Columbia, MO
Relevant laws and regulations pertaining to motor vehicles, Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public works, and transit policies and procedures.
Defensive driving and accident prevention,
Skill in:
Operating fleet vehicles and equipment.
Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience.
