Job Description

The purpose of this job is to support clinical services through direct patient interaction, education, and health care. Assists with outreach and educational programming.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicates with patients via phone or in person to perform intake, screenings, or convey test results. Collects and maintains data. Schedules appointments.

  • Performs phlebotomy, dispenses medication, and assists with procedures as needed.

  • Schedules and performs nursing visits for dispensing refills, providing education, and treating sexually transmitted diseases.

  • Monitors, maintains, and stocks medical supplies and medication inventory.

  • Assists with outreach and educational programming. Communicates with organizations and provides program information for clients.

  • Maintains continuing educations credits.

  • Creates and maintains accurate records.

  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience(

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered):

Education and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in Licensed Practical Nurse Program.

Licenses or Certifications

  • Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN).

  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Valid drivers license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Anatomy and physiology, health and disease processes, sexually transmitted diseases, phlebotomy, and pharmacology.

  • Common business software applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

  • General office practices and administrative procedures, records management, and administration techniques and procedures.

Skill in:

  • Applying active listening and asking questions for understanding.

  • Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience.
