The staff at the Sheriffs Office are dedicated to serving their community with the highest degree of professionalism and to serving the training needs of our law enforcement partners. We have been providing training to other law enforcement agencies since 2015 to help with the professional development of our law enforcement partners.

As part of its commitment to providing high quality training to other law enforcement agencies, we took over operations of the local law enforcement training academy in 2024. During the same year we received funding to develop a new Regional Training Center to further support the training mission for area law enforcement. That new facility is scheduled to open in late 2025.

The Sheriffs Office is committed to supporting its staff. As part of that commitment, we are developing a childcare center for our employees and anticipate opening in 2026. The childcare center will operate 24 hours a day to ensure support for staff that work overnight hours.
