Responsibilities: This is a GIS (Geographical Information Systems) focused technical position. Key responsibilities include:
Producing high-quality maps utilizing ESRI software.
Performing high-level analysis to support various mapping projects, including editing, geocoding, data conversion, and error reconciliation.
Participating in designing and improving the GIS database.
Coordinating updates and changes for 911 addressing in 911 dispatching systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Maintaining awareness of current advances in technology as it relates to GIS.
Perform a variety of professional-level duties to support information technology systems and programs.
Serve as a liaison between system users and information technology staff in the areas of development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of information systems, and software applications.
Provide solutions to operations challenges.
Develop and maintain written technical documentation, internal operating procedures, and user manuals.
Install, support, and troubleshoot application software and computer hardware while providing technical assistance to system users according to systems policies and procedures.
Evaluate new software/hardware and recommend changes as needed.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited
Working hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with rotating on-call schedules. Hybrid workplace options are available.
Qualifications: Current CompTIA A+ Certification or ability to obtain certification within six months; high school diploma or GED and three years of GIS or computer systems analysis experience; must have a clear criminal record (excluding traffic violations.) Must meet minimum qualifications set forth by the FBI and MSHP CJIS Security policy.
Starting Hourly Salary Range: $23.09 - $27.08 per hour
