Sealing Technologies Deputy Program Manager in Columbia, Maryland

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides cyber security services and cutting-edge technologies to the federal government. Sealing Technologies is looking for a talented Deputy Program Manager to help facilitate the development of solutions for our SORD mission area. As a Deputy Program Manager, you will lead a high-performing team with direct involvement in project initiation, planning, and successful execution while maintaining a cost, scope, and schedule baseline. Additionally, you will consult with engineers on projects to ensure that the overall solution meets the program and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and document program scope, objectives, deliverables, and functional requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and business partners.

  • Plan, implement, and oversee the successful completion of program level goals and objectives.

  • Maintain accurate program estimates, timelines, work plans, and status reports.

  • Manage program team members for optimal return on investment and strategize and delegate program initiatives.

  • Understand, track, and articulate issue/risk items; work with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; update the appropriate stakeholders/clients as needed.

  • Design and maintain processes to monitor and control resources, budget, risks, and quality.

  • Measure and analyze program performance for evaluation and improvement, using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by the PM.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizen

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one.

  • 4+ combined years of education or program leadership, management, or directly related experience, including financial management, schedule management, risk management, scope management, and staff planning.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with developing and managing executive-level documentation and reports.

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills to lead discussions with various stakeholders.

  • Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

  • Experience working in the DoD.

  • PMP certification or ability to obtain certification (SealingTech will sponsor certification).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.

  • Experience with leading/managing a team of engineers.

  • Experience with system engineering lifecycle methodologies

This role has an internal job title of Program Manager I/II. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
