Sealing Technologies, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager who possesses managerial experience and demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for collaborating within a team-oriented setting. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding communication abilities, analytical skills, and a track record of effective leadership. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, managing a team of accountants, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Coordinate and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
Work in coordination with the controller and management to develop and assess financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual schedule
Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits. Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and responses to audit inquiries.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, systems, and workflows. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
Coordinate the staffing needs of the accounting team, delegate tasks, and ensure ongoing training for the team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or related field.
6+ years of related experience
3+ years of managerial experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to GAAP.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Experience with Government contracting
US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Unanet, ADP, and FlowTrac
Demonstrated experience in a publicly traded company and adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations.
CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting certifications
This role has an internal job title of a Accounting Manager with a corresponding base salary range of $100k to $140k (aligned with current national standards) and set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
