Position: Scheduler I – Columbia Falls

Reports To : Operations Planning Manager

The purpose of the Scheduler is to support Nomad’s Operations department with the following tasks and administrative activities.
Essential Functions / Responsibility:
Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
Confer with department supervisors and others to assess progress and needed scheduling changes.
Help with revision of production schedules due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Management, Marketing, Sales, Production, and Engineering.
Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to customer and Nomad standards and specifications.
Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, or purchase, maintenance, or repair orders.
Maintain files, such as production schedules and efficiency calculations.
Help plan production commitments or timetables for business units or specific projects using sales forecasts.
Establish and prepare information on the required number of workers needed.
Compile and provide documentation and information to account for delays or changes to cost estimates.
Prepare reports and schedules for leadership review using advanced excel skills.
Additional duties as requested.
Basic Knowledge Desired:

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and The employee is rarely required to lift 20 pounds.
Working Environment:
Fast-paced environment, open-concept office area, interacts regularly with the Production floor.
All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times on the Production floor.
Qualifications & Experience:
High School Graduate, diploma or GED Additional college education preferred.
At least 2 years of documented, successful experience in a similar role.
Previously documented, successful experience using a scheduling or project management software is preferred.
Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft programs.
Valid driver’s license.
