Position Description

Pay: $22 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; some weekends, some overtime

Please note: This job will require 2 to 3 hours of driving most days and can be dirty.

OBJECTIVE:

To perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Goodwill owned and leased hydraulic equipment across the State of Colorado. Will occasionally support Maintenance Team with larger projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Journeyman licensed (or considered journeyman level) in a technical trade such as heavy and/or automated machinery.

• 3+ year’s knowledge and experience with commercial retail or industrial equipment maintenance.

• Ability to discern vendor services needed and schedule repairs while keeping in good communication with manager/director and customers.

• Ability to utilize smart phone apps and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot various hydraulic and electronic systems.

• Ability to use and operate fork lift, Scissor lift, light – medium machinery, welders, etc.

• Ability to work on their own, with a team, and participate on repair projects such as cylinder replacement.

• Must qualify as an insurable driver for Goodwill of Colorado.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes). Must have reliable transportation; must also be able to operate company vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform at least 90% of all incoming maintenance workorders related to Goodwill owned/leased compactors, balers, tippers, and the like. Routine preventative maintenance.

• This individual will take training and advisement from Goodwill’s Equipment Specialist

• Will recommend steps for completing projects, work orders, and emergency requests regarding Goodwill hydraulic equipment.

OTHER

• Occasional overtime, shift or travel requirement varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Occasional overnight travel.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management staff, and peers. Provide excellent customer service. Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter, problem-solver, and team player.

• Ability to understand and follow all Goodwill safety standards and guidelines, and to read, comprehend, and follow Goodwill Employee Handbook, departmental manuals, and all numbered or supplemental memorandums.
