Robert Half is currently seeking a diligent and organized Staff Accountant to join the finance team at well-established non-profit organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your primary duties will be ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and accounting activities. This includes duties such as accurate revenue recording, daily bank account reconciliation, preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, and assisting in credit card program management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform timely and accurate recording of operational revenues (ticket sales, sponsorships, donations, contractual revenues)

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable including collections on past due accounts

• Daily reconciliation of all operating bank accounts

• Assist in the company's credit card program

• Participation in continuous process improvement initiatives

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required

• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred

• Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), especially in regard to revenue recognition

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Prior experience with Sage Intacct or other Sage products is a plus

• Ability to operate as a self-starter, and manage a rigorous workload during high-demand periods

• Excellent organization skills and a personable demeanor

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and can pass a background check
