Team (Project) Introduction Identity Access Management (IAM) is divided into two business lines: Identify Services and Access Services. The primary services supported are the Master Person Index, Provisioning, Authorization Management Service, Single Sign-On Internal/ External, Veteran Health Identification Card, and Compliance Auditing Reporting. 9th Way Insignia has an opening for a Systems Administrator Senior to work in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT) on the Identity and Access Management (IAM). This high-profile position serves as Insignia's primary point of contact and leads the day-to-day contract operations, ensuring that the IAM technical scope is delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Professional Level The Systems Administrator position aligns as Level 1 Engineer at 9th Way Insignia. As an Engineer, 1 your duties may include testing project components, identifying problems and discovering solutions, working on ongoing projects based on specifications or drawings, and collaborating with teams of other engineers. Typically performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer, 1 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges. Functional Job (LCAT) Information A Senior System Administrator has the thorough knowledge to create plans to assure effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems and/or networks. Manages teams of system admins and is able to prioritize work and identify high risk critical problems and dedicate appropriate resources. Has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems. Responsibilities:

Install, configure, secure, and maintain Operating systems as well as a variety of Microsoft tools including but not limited to SharePoint, Office Suite, Teams, and SQL Databases.

Implement and test patches and OEM updates across multiple environments.

Monitoring of the Operating systems and installed applications

Assist with storage and systems backup.

Evaluating and implementing hardware and software deployments

Resolving security findings and security patches and updates to the operating systems and Microsoft apps

Provide recommendations and identify critical issues and processing faults as it pertains to the IAM environments.

Creating and updating reports pertaining to the operational status of the IAM systems

Communicating directly with VA Senior Leaders about the status of the IAM systems, ongoing projects, and operational issues Conducting a thorough analysis of each system to identify system shortcomings and anomalies.

Providing solutions to mitigate any discrepancies found in order to enhance system performance and stability.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

5+ Years of experience.

Demonstrated ability to identify potential risks and create strategies for mitigating risks associated.

Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a government contracting environment.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and integration.

Experience in analyzing legacy system data f r integration and improvement.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Capable of addressing critical outages, system degradation, etc., with high understanding the SRE golden signal (latency, traffic, errors, and saturation) while understanding system dependency impact due to those outag
