Job Summary The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is chartered with securing enterprise information systems and data to deliver mission success.We are looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to utilize threat intelligence to defend against cyber threat and increase the overall security of the corporation by implementing innovative technical solutions.If you have enterprise experience securing information systems, a passion for cybersecurity and the ability to critically analyze threats and implement defensive solutions, consider joining our team of dedicated cybersecurity professionals. The Cybersecurity Operations & Engineering staff utilize a robust set of information technology including AI and Machine Learning to combat cyber threats while working with internal and external partners to address business and government requirements.

Work Model This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs, CO offering a hybrid work model that combines a minimum of 3 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.

What You'll Be Doing Work with cross-functional internal and external teams to secure the corporation from Advanced Persistent Threats (APT's), nation-state actors and protect against insider threat and data leakages Participate in strategic security relationships between internal resources and external entities including government, customers, vendors and partner organizations to gather threat intelligence, perform risk-based analysis and oversee implementation of indicators of compromise (IOC's) Leverage existing cybersecurity tools to perform routine threat hunting across the enterprise and where necessary, make recommendations for improvements to threat hunting processes and technology Optimize and customize event management to support multiple views of data to support investigation of suspect activity, collect metrics and provide better visibility overall of user and network activity Work closely with other IT departments and business units to provide and establish security requirements, ensuring all devices and data are securely protected Assess current cybersecurity configurations and make appropriate recommendations based on security requirements, threat intelligence or emerging trends Engage with a team of subject matter experts to architect, implement and maintain critical cybersecurity infrastructure Where necessary, provide Tier 3 support to help troubleshoot complex issues and develop new solutions. Will be a member of the incident response team that actively addresses and mitigates incidents as necessary

What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for IT/Network Security Staff IV: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study or equivalent experience 8 or more years of relevant experience Hold at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, GPEN, C|EH, C|HFI, C|ND, E|CIH, C|TIA, Security+, GCFA, GDAT Proven experience successfully deploying or administering cybersecurity policies and technologies for an enterprise environment In-depth, hands-on experience working with Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms and defensive cybersecurity technologies such as intrusion and detection, malware prevention or data loss preventio systems Prior experience securing the enterprise by approving, implementing, or designing cybersecurity technologies at the network, endpoint, or application layers Ability to ensure that relevant threat intelligence indicators of compromise (IOC's) are implemented so they are actively blocked and/or reported on Ability to document, track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to ensure implementation and identification of trends and impacts Ability to document security requirements to protect all information systems and data Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.
