Service Source Project Manager - Food Service in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Division Manager, plan, organize, direct, and control operational activities to achieve specified cost and project objectives and to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications. Supervise coordinate and direct the operations of several food service facilities in a manner, which will result in quality food handling, serving, cleaning and sanitation.

Salary 65,000 annualized

Primary Duties

  • Continually and critically evaluate all assignees work activities as a basis for developing more informative data for management decision making, increased efficiency and/or reduced cost. Evaluate performance of assigned employees to provide individual counseling to improve work performance or commendation where justified.

  • Establish and maintain high standards in food handling, serving, cleaning, and sanitation.

  • Establish and follow standard operation procedures to maintain consistency of service performed. This will also include overseeing the local safety program to be maintained in compliance with all Corporate, Federal, and State requirements.

  • Recommend to Quality Control/ Area Manager, changes in service, personnel, equipment, and controls which will improve services to the customer.

  • Develop, review, and analyze activities, budgets (revenues and expenses), and forecast data to determine South Region progress toward stated goals and objectives.

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Keep immediate manager fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance promptly and take necessary corrective action where appropriate.

  • Conduct interviews and submit qualified applicants to HR for further processing and job offer.

  • Supervise the orientation and training of all food service personnel. Hold staff and employee meetings on a regular basis.

  • Evaluate work performance of assigned personnel as the basis for individual counseling to improve work performance or commendation where justified. Recommend transfer or dismissal of unqualified or otherwise unsatisfactory employees and salary adjustments.

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship within the department with all other departments to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and high customer service.

  • Create employee work schedules. Prepare and review time sheets for submission to main office.

  • Assist Division Manager in analyzing the results of project operations, and assist in developing Fiscal Budgets, and process injury reports.

  • Develop and train Quality Control/Area Managers, and Lead Supervisors, appraise their performance, and perform administrative tasks as required.

  • Assist in facility inspections and in the requisitioning of equipment and supplies.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Require at least five (5) years of experience with two (2) years’ experiences as a manager or Dining Facility Manager of a similar project.

  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Food Management preferred.

  • Prefer a formal course of study with the National Institute of the Food Service Industry (NIFI) course in applied food service sanitation.

  • Certification of successful completion shall be obtained prior to or within sixty (60) days after employment is required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
