Our team is looking for an amazingly talented Network Engineer . In this role you will get to be on the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining a key network in supporting Space Warfighting and Analysis Center (SWAC) across multiple operating locations to include Colorado Springs, the National Capital Region, and other Continental United States (CONUS) locations.

Required Skills:

  • Designing, implementing, and large-scale enterprise network environment spanning multiple data centers with high-availability requirements

  • Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems, improve interoperability, and make improvements.

  • Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions.

  • Strong ability to produce and maintain varied technical documentation

  • Supports the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in line with the overall architecture of the network

  • Completes technical documentation to design, test, implement, train, and transition solutions to operational support

  • Hands on experience with networking hardware, firmware and cabling installations

  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering

  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools

  • Supports implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of VMware networking components to include vCenter Server, ESXi Hosts, Standard/Distributed vSwitches, vSphere Data Protection, Operations Manager, etc.

  • Experience with Ansible playbook development for automation and scripting in support of network deployments and security hardening

  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university with minimum 15 years of experience

  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Secret Compartmented Information (SCI)

  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph to achieve SAP security Clearance within 6 months of hire

  • Possess a DoD 8140.03/8570.01 Information Assurance Technical II certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire: Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security (CCNA-Security), Cybersecurity Analyst Plus (CySA+), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+ (Security+), Certified Network Defender (CND), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing and networking, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Familiar with COMSEC requirements and procedures

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
