Mid-Level Project Manager Engineer Sr Step 2 Schriever SFB Colorado Springs, Colorado HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. HX5 is currently seeking a Mid-Level Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Have Project Management experience in an environment and managing multiple projects concurrently. Have experience using Microsoft Project and know how to create, manage and update their detailed level schedule. Be comfortable interacting with various levels of internal and external customers. Have experience creating and supporting Project status and financial data in internal and external customer meetings. Have experience creating and managing SOWs with a variety of contract types and deliverable strategies. Be responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects specifically meeting cost and schedule targets. Apply Earned Value Management principles in the execution of their projects. Develop recovery plans for projects that are not achieving delivery date expectations. Candidate should have experience, pricing, and estimating proposed costs and costs to complete. Exhibit a cognitive ownership of their project deliverables and partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations. Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal teaming soft skills. Salary Information: This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certificationsthat are directly related to the position. Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and eight (8) years of general experience Associate's degree and six (6) years of general experience Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of general experience Master's degree and two (2) years of general experience Must have five (5) years of directly related. Successfully drive projects to completion while integrating matrixed resources. Desired Requirements: PMP Certified Understand Agile Methodologies ITIL Certified Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience Experience managing high dollar-value projects ranging in complexity Experience managing geographically separated project teams Experience managing projects in traditional waterfall and/or agile methodologies Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Domain knowledge Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Must be able to travel, including air travel. Must have a valid Drivers License.
