Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Develop a Quality Control Plan (QCP) using the Statement of Work and Performance requirements of the contract and U.S. Army Health and Food Safety regulations. Instruct supervisory personnel in the use of the QCP and in daily use of by meal evaluations systems. Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance workers; ensure their ability to safely operate, dishwashing machines, pot washing machines, beverage bar and salad bar equipment and the safe use of chemicals used in sanitation and cleaning. Counsel, record, and discipline as necessary. Develop assistant site manager to effectively oversee routines of other workers. Assign employees to specific duties, such as clipper dishwashers, utility cleaners, dining room attendants, beverage, salad, and pastry bars, salad prep, and rations.

Additional Responsibilities Oversee operations assigned location(s) providing food service operations and meeting of contractual obligations and other items as necessary. Make sure that all employees are trained in kitchen safety, sanitation, cleanliness, customer service, rations, reading recipe cards, and research procedures as required. Maintain a personnel structure to accomplish goals in an effective and efficient manner. Accurately complete records and reports in a timely manner as required by operations, rehabilitation, and human resources departments as well as those required by the prime contractor. Interface with contract personnel on all routine matters pertinent to contractual obligations. Interface with customers on a regular basis to solve issues that arise. Write employees counseling reports as needed. Coordinate with Rehabilitation Counselor to solve behavior/attendance issues. Participate in Interdisciplinary Team process and other meetings pertaining to employee goals and objectives; provides input as needed. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral format. Ensure that timely and accurate records and reports necessary for the operation of the dining facilities and contract requirements are submitted. Ensure proper rotation of subsistence and or supplies. Ensure recipe compliance in accordance with Armed Forces Recipe Cards as required, ensure minimum inspections are done per building, per month, with a maximum of 10 buildings. Consolidate inspection reports monthly for contract representatives. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s) High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required. Minimum of 4 years' experience in related field, with an emphasis on managing contracts in a Federal Government environment. Experience in high volume/fast paced operations environment. Accounting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Well-organized, detailed oriented, self-directed, with the ability to lead others at a managerial level. Flexible, solution-based thinker, capable of assuming a greater role beyond the traditional manager function. Relate to people at all levels of an organization. Strong writing and communications skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Access, and Word. Ability to read and interpret contracts, contract manuals, and administration manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization. Excellent customer service skills. In-depth understanding of (and facility with) Excel spreadsheets is a necessity, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
