Job Description

Manages business bankers responsible for the selling of assigned credit union products and services generally for a specified geographic region or Mid-Market revenue segment. Ensures team sales goals are achieved. Oversees and trains Business Bankers, ensuring individual Banker production goals are met. Coordinates with Director to establish sales and budget goals and develops market objectives and strategies for the products/services sold. Develops revenue, volume, and market share objectives for assigned Bankers and market area. Assists in administering the annual budget for assigned area. Recruits, retains, coaches, and manages performance of assigned Bankers. Partners with key individuals in the credit union to develop, communicate and implement the sales strategy in order to meet/exceed business objectives, and exchange leads/referrals. Maintains and develops profitable relationships with members and industry associations.

Essential Functions Staff Strategic Goal Alignment: Ensure the CRM Tool is used to its fullest potential to gain accurate dashboard reporting. Facilitate joint call-blocks and pre-call planning with staff. Utilize the BB Sales and Service Plan to set individual goals and measure progress. Coordinate activities to continually market to large market businesses as well as leverage appropriate sponsorships and event attendance to our advantage. Department Leadership: Proactively monitor, coach, and motivate assigned staff to reach overall department goals. Accompany staff on prospecting and on appointments, as determined by management. Provide feedback to staff and Director, conduct reviews, and assist in the interview process for new hires. Resolve member issues escalated from staff as needed. Facilitate joint call-blocks and pre-call planning with staff. Service Center Involvement to increase engagement from Service Center staff, being proactive in expansion are Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position Bachelor's Degree with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field 7+ years' combined experience in financial services to include at least: 5+ years' direct experience selling business banking products and services 5+ years' development of business relationships within the financial industry 3+ years' management / team leadership experience

Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experien

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Proven leadership skills including sustained development, influencing, mentoring, delivering feedback, planning and coaching in a financial institution environment. Familiarity with supervisory skills and best practices. Strong command of business banking practices. Ability to acquire Bus ness Members through traditional means to include cold calling, prospecting, nurturing, and business development. Knowledge of credit union products/services, credit union operations, and current market trends Ability to make critical decisions independently Business relationship management to include retention and expansion of business services and products and networking activities. Knowledge of sales and sales strategies Working knowledge of commercial/small businesses. Relationship Management - influencing, advisory, and acquisition skills. Problem solving - superior problem solving skills. Communication - superior verbal and written communication skills. Sound decision making / managing the member experience with credit union regulations and procedures. Strong knowledge of business economics and banking. Working knowledge of commercial/small business typical processes and procedures. Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Certifications Required: Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record required
