V2X is growing! We have an opportunity for a collaborative and skilled Senior Logistics Engineer to join our Engineering team in Colorado Springs, CO supporting the COBRA DANE program. The cross-skilled candidate will support two disciplines - obsolescence management and property management.

The Senior Logistics Engineer will work within a multi-disciplined team of engineers and apply their skills and expertise while addressing our customer’s needs by mitigating equipment obsolescence issues and supporting the property management system for the radar. Implementing current technology in the COBRA DANE architecture requires replacing obsolete hardware with modern and sustainable hardware to improve resistance to future supply, availability, and readiness issues.

The ideal candidate will also assist with the management of Government Furnished Property and Company Acquired Property to ensure equipment is tracked throughout its lifecycle. The candidate will draw upon their knowledge of government regulations pertaining to property accountability to help improve current processes and develop, recommend and implement property administration policy.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, pays great attention to the smallest of details, and embraces modern development processes and techniques that improve product quality and team productivity. We are looking for an engineer that enjoys a challenge and has a passion to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

Position is considered hybrid and may allow some work remotely.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience in logistics or hardware engineering

  • Experience mitigating hardware obsolescence issues by conducting Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) analyses to identify the loss, or impending loss, of the last known manufacturer or supplier of components for production or repair parts

  • Experience coordinating with Logistics technicians to maintain 100% accountability of Government Property in accordance with applicable Government regulations

  • Hands-on experience with property management tools, such as Gold, Maximo, etc.

  • Experience working with multi-discipline teams

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access to analyze data

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills for Obsolescence Management:

  • Experience identifying form/fit/function solutions at a component level for spares and repair parts for the system.

  • Experience researching parts using online parts databases and obsolescence tools, including but not limited to FEDLOG, Parts Intelligence, Haystack Gold, AVCOM, SMART, IHSMarkit, and ILSmart.

  • Knowledge and experience researching industry and government standards, MILSPEC, and other component specifications

  • Experience with indentured parts lists and Bills of Material (BOM)

  • Previous experience in the lifecycle of Production, Repair, Spares, and upgrades of depot repair items.

  • Strong understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings and standards.

  • Experience in proactively analyzing and resolving logistics problems relating to operational considerations, engineering drawings and associated hardware in relation to repair activities.

  • Working knowledge of or familiarity with the Integrated Logistics Support elements

  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Desired Skills for Property Management:

  • Experience ensuring all Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) are properly tracked, documented, and identified in a property management system

  • Experience with day-to-day property control operations; may include but not limited to custodial record management, administrative adjustment reporting, cyclic inventory reporting, sensitive item inventory, receiving, shipping and preparation of all supporting documentation

  • Experience maintaining 100% accountability of all company Property records in a property management system

  • Certified for Property Professional Administrator from the National Property Management Agency

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline; 1 year related experience may be substituted for 1 year of education

  • At least 5 years of related experience in logistics or hardware engineering or property management
