Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an Engineering Services Lead to join our team supporting the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) contract. This position will have a heavy focus on performing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) responsibilities, along with supporting various functional departments such as Quality, Safety, Technical Orders, Engineering and Security. This position ensures that the support approach for products and services is meticulously documented and aligns with L3Harris's commitment to Quality Management Systems (QMS), certifications & training, QMS effectiveness, metrics/data analysis, quality notifications, and stop work authority.
Essential Functions:
The Engineering Services Lead duties include but are not limited to:
Influencing the design process through comprehensive product support analysis, leveraging scientific, engineering, and user/customer assessments during acquisition and design phases.
Defining and developing detailed logistics/product support requirements, support plans, maintenance concepts, and plans for packaging, handling, storage, transportation, and sparing.
Conducting simulations to model supportability concepts within the total user maintenance and logistics framework, aiding the Engineering department.
Formulating processes for support and sustainment engineering analysis, life cycle cost and management estimation, maintenance and depot services, and warranty and licensing administration, which are essential across various functional departments.
Contributes to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and targeted supportability analyses for L3Harris-managed equipment.
Develop, review, and support targeted supportability analysis of the quarterly Supply Supportability Analysis Report (SSAR).
Developing Logistics Management Information (LMI) and coordinating with Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) personnel on Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) data.
Support RAM modeling, trend analyses, and updates to the MOSSAIC Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) database.
Conducting thorough analysis of levels of repair, maintenance tasks, logistics product data, and assessing reliability, availability, supply support, sustaining engineering, and maintainability requirements.
Analyzing technical data and reports to provide specific recommendations on sparing equipment, repair parts, test equipment, and support equipment.
Updates sparing profiles based on maintenance and demand data.
Creating Standard Data For Provisioning (SDFP) packages and evaluating parts for Item Unique Identification (IUID) compliance.
Reviewing, analyzing, and contributing to technical drawings and various technical documents to ensure accuracy and applicability.
Designing and editing technical manuals/orders, and training materials to support the Quality and Technical Orders departments.
Provides updates to training programs and materials.
Reviewing and creating disposition plans, Deactivated Equipment Lists (DEL), and completing Remanence Security (REMSEC) worksheets.
Collaborating with engineering on REMSEC assessments.
Manage materials and support warehouse operations, including using the GOLD Inventory Management System (IMS) and the System Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR) Supportability Analysis Tool (SENSAT).
Coordinates repair actions for C-ICP equipment.
Assesses depot facility impacts due to system modifications or changes.
Assist in logistics skills development and provide technical support on logistics matters.
Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance required.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Sustainment and development support experience (preferred experience specific to MOSSAIC contract’s programs).
Experience with GOLDesp integrated logistics toolset.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience supporting sustainment efforts on the MOSSAIC contract’s programs.
Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation.
Familiar with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of maintenance contracts management and procedures for warranty repairs.
Understand drawing and specification hierarchy and development; Familiar with ASME-Y14.100 and all equivalent guidance pertaining to engineering drawings.
Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Sustainment and development support experience (preferred experience specific to MOSSAIC contract’s programs).
Experience with GOLDesp integrated logistics toolset.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $90,000- $167,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
