Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead operational and financial performance of Geocycle’s alternative fuel and raw material platform located in

Colorado Springs, CO including safety, health, environmental policies as well as production and financial

performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Lead a high performing health and safety culture. Ability to inspire/lead team members to relentlessly focus on safety of all those connect to the operation.

  • Directly supervise 2-5 employees: customer service representative and material handlers. Currently 3 but this is expected to grow in the coming year.

  • Implement and oversee a documented preventative maintenance program for all assets and equipment.

  • Equipment consists of a 3 stage tire shredding system, as well as various other support equipment (telehandler, trailer tipper, front end loader, trucks, trailers, etc.)

  • Provide effective and consistent leadership, guidance/direction, communication, and vision to team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Responsible for training, development, and involvement of employees at the facility.

  • Primary point of contact within Geocycle for Holcim Colorado Springs, CO cement plant leadership.

  • Function as part of the plant leadership team and be a trusted and valued support to the cement plant manager and his leadership team.

  • Accountable for financial and operational performance of the Colorado Springs operation.

  • Lead operation to achieve financial targets. Must be able to understand, report, and be able to explain drivers behind monthly financial performance.

  • Provide input on budget for the facility.

  • Oversee performance of internal functions and external suppliers that support Geocycle Colorado.

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and promote continuous performance.

  • Directly responsible for facility operational expenditures and coordination of day-to-day activities including customer service, inventory management, transporter communication, operational reliability, and the coordination and scheduling of production and deliveries.

  • Develop capital investment recommendations for the facility. Directly manage capital investment projects.

  • Oversee administrative functions for the facility. This includes supervision of customer service rep who manages customer service, creates purchase orders, and books revenue/expenditures.

  • Lead site’s compliance culture with environmental, regulatory, and internal standards. Ensure standards are carefully maintained within permitted allowances and the adoption and effectiveness of emergency procedures for the facility

  • Manage quality and cost of final product delivered to cement plant.

  • Build and maintain strong customer service reputation with the local cement manufacturing facility.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Associates degree or 3 years of equivalent experience. years of equivalent experience.

Field of Study Preferred: Operations, Business, Mechanical or other complementary field

Supervisory/managerial experience a plus.

Cement manufacturing or waste management experience also a plus.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
