Rampart Aviation LLC Experienced Avionics Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Rampart Aviation is currently seeking Experienced Avionics Technician in Colorado Springs, CO.
BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
Rampart Avionics Technicians troubleshoot, repair and maintain components used for aircraft navigation and radio communications, weather radar systems, and other instruments and computers that control flight, engine and other primary functions.
Duties will be performed in 14CFR parts 91, 135 and 145 environments.
Verifiable proficiency in all test equipment and complex avionics systems.
Proficient in bench and on aircraft troubleshooting.
Keep records of maintenance and repair work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with both FCC and (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
Minimum of five years aviation avionic installation and troubleshooting experience required.
Avionic technical school is preferred.
Experience with CASA 212 or DHC-6 Twin Otter preferred
Garmin experience required.
Collins and BendixKing experience preferred
Applicants must own basic Mechanic‘s toolbox
Must Hold Valid US Passport
US Citizen
Be able to pass drug, alcohol and TSA background check
Must be willing to work overtime
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Valid United States Drivers License
SALARY:
Depends on experience and qualifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions.
Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
May require lifting of objects whose weight may exceed 75 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment of inclement weather.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
