SUMMARY: As the Construction General Superintendent Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction activities across multiple projects within the region. Working closely with the Managers within Construction West, you will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving project success and fostering a culture of excellence within the construction teams. Construction General Superintendent reports to: Director of Construction West SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $145,000 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide overall leadership and direction to project superintendents and field personnel, ensuring adherence to project schedules, specifications, and safety standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed construction plans and schedules, identifying critical milestones and resource requirements. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance, and take corrective action as needed to address issues and ensure compliance with project requirements. Oversee the hiring, training, and development of field personnel, including superintendents, foremen, and laborers, to build a skilled and motivated workforce capable of delivering high-quality workmanship. Coordinate with project managers to procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services in a timely and cost-effective manner, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing project delays. Manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs, and implementing cost-saving measures to maximize profitability and minimize waste. Review and approve construction plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies, addressing their concerns and resolving issues to maintain positive relationships and ensure project success. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Monitor and evaluate project performance against established KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to optimize project outcomes. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and key issues, facilitating informed decision-making and risk management. DAILY DUTIES: Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignments for superintendents and foremen. Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications and timelines. Review and approve daily work plans, progress reports, and time sheets submitted by superintendents and foremen. Address any issues or concerns raised by construction personnel, subcontractors, or clients promptly and effectively. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve construction-related challenges and ensure project success. Provide guidance and support to superintendents and foremen on construction techniques, quality standards, and safety protocols. Monitor project progress and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate deliveries, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely project completion. Conduct daily safety mee ings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness and promote a culture of safety among construction crews. Participate in daily coordination meetings with project management and other stakeholders to discuss project status, issues, and action plans. WEEKLY DUTIES: Conduct weekly progress meetings with superintendents and foremen to review project schedules, milestones, and objectives. Review weekly project reports, including progress photos, quality inspections, and safety observations, to assess project performance. Analyze resource utilization and productivity metrics to optimize manpower, equipment, and material usage for improved efficiency. Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to schedule upcoming work activities, deliveries, and subcontractor services. Review and approve weekly work plans, procurement requests, and change orders to ensure alignment with project requirements and budgets. Conduct weekly safety audits and inspections to evaluate compliance with safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions. Participate in weekly coordination meetings with project management, subcontractors, and client representatives to discuss project status and resolve issues. Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to project specifications and contractual obligations, providing feedback and guidance as needed. Review and update project schedules, progress charts, and timelines to track project milestones and forecast completion dates accurately. Coordinate with the project controls team to analyze project costs, budgets, and financial forecasts, identifying variances and implementing cost-saving measures where possible. MONTLY DUTIES: Conduct monthly performance reviews with superintendents and foremen to assess individual and team performance, provide feedback, and set goals for improvement. Review monthly project progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments to evaluate project performance and identify areas for optimization
