Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist. As a CAD Specialist, you will play a key role in the development and refinement of critical design documents. Specifically, you will assist in drafting and enhancing assigned portions of the Integrated Design Package (IDP), ensuring that all technical drawings and specifications meet our rigorous standards. You will actively participate in both interim and final reviews, collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers to incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software, with demonstrated experience in creating precise and detailed technical drawings. Your attention to detail, ability to work within project timelines, and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work will be essential in this role. Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are critical for success.
Compensation Minimum: $95,000
Compensation Maximum: $100,000
Job Requirements:
Skills / Experience Required Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) 1+ years of experience as Quality Control Specialist, supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope 3+ years of hands-on professional experience as Quality Control Specialist, for program/project of similar size and scope IDP products to be developed shall include the following artifacts as identified: Site Master Index Installation Master Drawing Cabling Block Diagrams Cabling Running Sheets Distribution Frame/Junction Box Layout Labeling Details Patch Panel Layouts AC/DC Power Distribution Cable Routing Layout Miscellaneous Installation Details Miscellaneous System Configuration Details Education / Certifications Associate or bachelor's degree (CAD), preferred Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Paid Paternal leave Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
