Transportation Design (Engineer in Training - EIT) Are you interested in applying your Civil Engineering degree in the field of Transportation Design as you pursue your Professional Engineering license? Basis Partners, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is searching for an early career level Civil Engineer (EIT) whose passion is centered around Transportation specializing in Roadway and/or Drainage design projects. On day one, you will be doing work that matters alongside other talented and collaborative team members while building the foundation of your career through practical and hands on experience, coaching, mentoring, and trai Your evolution as a Transportation Design Engineer: A foundational aspect of the position will be to gain a solid understanding of a design project's lifecycle including the planning, scoping, standards, processes and quality assurance that govern projects. You will be developing critical skills by participating in a variety of design projects through carrying out important engineering tasks such as: Creating conceptual designs and evaluating against industry standards, regulations, and client expectations. Collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from project sites, prior studies, surveys, as-built drawings, historical data, etc. as inputs into project development, design, and construction. Calculating quantities for cost estimating and job bidding purposes. Participating in quality reviews and revisions to ensure compliance with our internal and client quality standards. Providing detailed information to support the project such as photo's, sketches, exhibits, drawings, calculations, measurements, and other necessary information. Identifying and addressing design constraints, constructability issues and the resolution thereof. Providing valuable input into design best practices. As you gain experience working on a variety of transportation projects, you will learn how different deliverables for a variety of clients translate into actionable project budgeting, planning, and scoping that guides the team through project completion. You will also use the some of the best technology and tools used in transportation design such as: CADD/Design software (Bentley OpenRoads Designer) Bluebeam Microsoft office suite Your career progression is expected to evolve into more responsibilities for engineering and design tasks of increased complexity and impact while being mentored and challenged along the way with the support of the entire design team. Requirements: B.S. Civil Engineering. 0-2 years' experience in civil engineering. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with the expectation of sitting for the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam in the future. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite particularly excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills including technical writing (preferred). Mature interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability. Excellent organizational skills. Self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment.Benefits

This is an estimated pay range. Final pay rate will be determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, job related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
