Job Title: Warehouse Worker/ Forklift Operator

Job Description

Forklift Operators needed to join our Warehouse team in a larger manufacturing facility. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical in maintaining an organized, smooth, and safe warehouse operation, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

• Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment.

• Support both Pre pack and final pack operations.

• Work on a 3,2,2,3 schedule in a 24/7 operation.

• Spend 50% of the day operating forklifts and the remaining time on walking, cleaning, material handling by hand, and other assigned duties.

• Use a warehouse management system to balance multiple processes simultaneously.

• Meet high-level production goals with a two-hour lead time on materials needed for the production floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stand-up reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and stand-up rider pallet jacks.

• Familiarity with RF scan guns, inventory control, shipping & receiving, material handling, cycle counts, and quality checks.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

The facility is very clean and state-of-the-art, located in Colonial Heights, housing packaging operations, a warehouse, and a training center. The larger facility includes substantial equipment and square footage. Warehouse aisles are around 12 feet wide, requiring candidates to learn the spacing before operating any equipment. The facility is climate-controlled with a locker room (cell phones must be kept in lockers or cars), and a canteen/breakroom with food and drink machines.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
