Robert Half Assistant Controller in Collierville, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller based in Collierville, Tennessee. The role involves providing accurate and timely financial information, taking ownership of the job, and demonstrating a strong work ethic. The Assistant Controller will have the chance to work in a bustling environment, managing financial operations for multiple companies in an in-office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage financial tasks effectively.

• Handle ADP - Financial Services for smooth business operations.

• Implement ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for efficient business process management.

• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) for financial management and reporting.

• Perform accounting functions including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Conduct auditing to ensure financial compliance and integrity.

• Oversee budget processes and ensure efficient allocation of resources.

• Handle month-end close procedures and ensure timely reporting.

• Learn and manage loan process and specific construction accounting.

• Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting processes and systems. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of finance and accounting

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Ability to execute Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skills in Auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and financial forecasting

• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of current financial legislation and regulations.
