DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will be assigned to the youth development center/youth forestry camp (YDC/YFC) system where you will be tasked with performing semi-skilled and skilled work in several trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, and electrical trades both indoors and outdoors to keep the buildings and grounds safe for residents and staff. You will also work in the facility water and waste water treatment plant where you will be trained to become a certified operator. Work includes maintaining commonwealth vehicles, repairing and installing doors, fabricating partitions, repairing roofs, as well as installing and maintaining various flooring applications. You will be responsible for handling plumbing issues, maintaining heating and cooling systems, maintaining landscaping to include lawn care and snow removal, as well as repairing security fencing as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment FREE PARKING! Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (negotiable), this may change based on operational needs, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Travel and overtime may be required as needed. This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
