Job Description Job Title: Title I Academic Tutor
Reports to: Campus Principal
Dept./School: Assigned Campus Title I
Wage Status: Per Hour
Pay Grade: Temporary/Part-Time
Days: TBD
Primary Purpose: Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, work with individual students or small groups. Work under supervision of certified teacher or administrator. This position is Title I funded.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED (required) Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours or equivalent trimester hours) of college coursework (preferred) Valid Texas teaching certificate (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with students Ability to communicate effectively Experience: Some experience working with students
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, work with individual students or small groups. Collect and maintain data regarding student work and progress Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Equipment Used: Personal or laptop computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, telephone, electronic mobile devices, and other instructional technology
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
