Job Description
The Director of Corporate Engagement is responsible for achieving key results through the establishment and strengthening of relationships with corporate entities. This role focuses on engaging with senior leadership in top companies, bringing these companies to campus to interact with students, faculty, and leadership, and increasing student hiring through deep corporate engagement. The position also involves strengthening pre-existing relationships with companies at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and facilitating other corporate partnerships, such as executive education opportunities, to advance the mission of Mays Business School. mays.tamu.edu

CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP:
Create new relationships with corporate partners to enhance strategic outcomes for the College (recruitment of students, scholarships, executive education opportunities, corporate gifts/sponsorships and partnerships, corporate engagement in learning outcomes)
Expand the portfolio (and retain) existing relationships with corporate partners to enhance strategic outcomes for the College (recruitment of students, scholarships, executive education opportunities, corporate gifts/sponsorships and partnerships, corporate engagement in learning outcomes)
Follow a data-driven, customer-focused, and KPI-driven strategy to corporate engagement and absorb best practices from the Office of Development
Serve as the senior leader of Mays Corporate Engagement
With Dean’s office approval, hire and supervise any relevant staff and/or a student worker in the Corporate Engagement office (e.g., pertain to recruiting success)
STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL:
Plan and execute all corporate relations -related requests from the Dean’s office, in synergy with the Dean’s vision for external engagement
Collaborate across all relevant Centers, Institutes, Program Offices, and Departments to understand, assess, and elevate corporate-related activities and outcomes
Coordinate outreach activities, when appropriate, with other university departments and personnel, including, but not limited to, the Office of Development, alumni groups, and college-based career services offices
Collaborate with Marcomm to design and develop material related to on-campus corporate engagement
Participate in professional development activities
Participate actively in various local, state, regional, and national organizations such as chambers of commerce, societies of human resource management, NACE, alumni chapters, etc.
Participate in professional development activities and may perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Ten years of related experience, including three years of management experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to effectively engage corporate partners (i.e., attract new corporate partners, expand engagement with existing partners, and ensure we maintain strong relationships with all existing partners)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong public speaking, organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills
Ability to work cooperatively with directors of related programs
Preferred Qualifications:
A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, continuously seeking ways to improve alumni and corporate engagement
Familiarity with business school culture and a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing business school alumni
Previous experience with corporate engagement
Experience working with distance education technology (Zoom)
Understanding of Texas A & M System
Understanding of Mays Business School History, Rank and Reputation
What you need to know
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 - Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire's experience

Travel: 2-3 days per week, may include some overnight travel
