Description We are seeking a Controller for our team based in College Station, Texas. This role will involve overseeing the accounting functions of the organization, maintaining the fiscal health and integrity of the company. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with strong skills in accounting and financial management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the execution of all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Direct and coordinate the company's financial planning and budget management functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial information, month-end, and year-end close process.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
• Use Accounting Software Systems to automate and streamline processes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline functions and improve productivity.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and reports on budget variances.
• Manage the use of CRM and Crystal Reports to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll processing and other related financial tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in overseeing all Accounting Functions
• Demonstrable experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven ability in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong skills in Auditing procedures
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks efficiently
• Relevant degree or certification in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information discreetly
• Ability to develop and implement effective accounting strategies and policies
• Solid understanding of financial laws and regulations
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable way to non-financial staff.
