Job Description
Coordinator of the Data Analysis and associated Training Program for undergraduate and graduate students on current USDA and NIH funded projects.
Job Duties:
• Co-write proposals for grants as key personnel and/or co-investigator• Co-author and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, prepare scientific reports, and present scientific data at local and national conferences.• Support PI in the design, plan, conduct, and coordination of experiments in support of various research projects.• Maintain detailed records of data including master data spreadsheets and research protocols.• Monitor project budgets.• Manage and lead all ongoing and forthcoming human clinical trials including IRB approval, recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and carrying out all data collection and data analysis protocols.• Manage laboratory, supervise research undergraduate and graduate students, oversee laboratory supply and equipment purchases and assist in equipment maintenance.• Prepare and lead annual laboratory audits required by TAMU EHS and IBS committees.• Interview, hire, and supervise all student worker lab assistants.
• Conduct lab safety and biohazard training for all research nurses and undergraduate and graduate students
• Organize and lead journal club and lab meetings.
• Other duties as required.
Required Education:PhD or related degree in a life or physical science
Preferred Experience:Previous human clinical research experience, experience in nutrition and food science, instructional experience
Required Special Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to interact and work effectively as a team member. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
