Description
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, School of Medicine at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time or part-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) adult and child & adolescent psychiatry positions with an 11-month academic appointment, renewable annually. Applicants will be considered for a faculty rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate or full Professor depending on qualifications. Opportunities are available to be a part of a growing academic clinical enterprise. In addition to outpatient practice, positions are available in addictions, emergency, consult/liaison and geriatric psychiatry. Opportunities also exist to develop integrative and collaborative care initiatives, including by way of telehealth, with local primary care physicians. A neuro-modulation clinic is under development. The department is actively involved in medical education and has a newly accredited psychiatry residency training program.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
Provide high quality, evidence based care to a diverse patient population as a leader of the care team
Collaborate with other behavioral health providers in the provision of patient care
Contribute to the departmental and medical school educational programs
Supervise medical students, residents and other trainees in the clinical setting
Attend and participate in related departmental and medical school administrative and committee activities
Qualifications
Required education and experience include:
M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree
Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency training program
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
