Insight Global Facilities Technician in College Park, Maryland
Job Description
Follow a preventative maintenance schedule for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Operate and monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure proper function.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies. Maintain records for inspections, repairs, and audits.
Perform general upkeep tasks such as cosmetic work, painting, floor repairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Monitor and maintain inventory. Order material, consumables, and parts as necessary.
Monitor calibration program and send equipment for calibration when necessary.
Work with external vendors or contractors for specialized projects, repairs, or maintenance when needed.
Respond to internal employee requests for building and project-related issues. Maintain a customer service-oriented relationship.
Coordinate with stakeholders for planned and unplanned maintenance.
Work closely with Design, Manufacturing and Product Engineers to assist developing and piloting detailed work instructions to assemble prototype Quantum Computer components with a safety and quality mindset and a high level of attention to detail.
Assist with the design and testing of prototype components for Quantum Computers.
Assist Physicists and Engineers with repeatable tasks in Research and Development and Systems Operations.
Capture and document assembly best practices, and present findings to technical teams.
Address or follow protocols and SOPs for facility emergencies such as power outages, water leaks, and broken equipment to minimize disruption to business operations. On-call after hours and on weekends for response to facility emergencies.
Other assigned duties as required in support of business needs.

Skills and Requirements
-3+ years in facilities maintenance and improvement
-Experience managing vendors and overseeing facilities budget
-Simple HVAC, draining, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP)
-SOP following and creation
-Strong communication with patience null
