Description
Robert Half is currently partnering with a local non-profit in search of a temporary Medical Scheduler in Colchester, Vermont. As a Medical Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating staff schedules, maintaining effective communication with the team, providing administrative support, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate staff schedules and assign patients to appropriate team members.
• Handle inbound calls and assist patients with their inquiries.
• Maintain effective communication with field staff and the Clinical Team Manager.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and ensuring timely workflow processes.
• Create, proofread, and send correspondence and maintain documents.
• Prepare lab requisitions and order and maintain office supplies.
• Compile reports and monitor customer accounts.
• Adhere to confidentiality policies and demonstrate accountability and follow-through.
• Assist with preparations for weekend work and establish on-call schedules.
• Utilize basic medical terminology in daily tasks and communications.
Requirements
• Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a timely and professional manner
• Demonstrated ability to assist patients with scheduling and rescheduling medical appointments
• Experience in providing exceptional call center customer service, handling high volume of calls
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and its application in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, medical professionals, and team members
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Proficiency in using scheduling software and other computer applications
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
