The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring aSupply Operations Supervisorto lead our purchasing and supply team in ourD1, ITD Coeur d’Alene, Idaho location.
The successful applicant will oversee personnel on all purchasing functions while adhering to the strict Idaho codes, purchasing laws and regulations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Oversee District personnel purchasing functions
Plan, direct and monitor unit operations involving purchasing, warehouse management, capital property
Organize and direct surplus auctions for scrap and surplus equipment
Assure staff follow all internal policies and procedures
Fill requests for procurements associated with work performed in the highway right-of-way
Assist in hiring and training staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Good knowledge of:
Supervisory practices
Directing and controlling shipping and receiving, purchasing, and inventory control
Filling requests for procurements associated with work performed in the highway right-of-way
Experience:
Preparing specifications for bid
Maintaining inventory levels
Interpreting and applying purchasing laws and a department's policies and procedures
Calculating and determining inventory levels
Designing and implementing storage procedures
Operating a personal computer.
