Job Description This position will join the Puget Sound Energy team to work with our portfolio of existing and new electric contracts. Over the approximately upcoming seven years, PSE must acquire new renewable and non-emitting resources of approximately 6,700 MW to comply with Washington State's Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA). This effectively doubles PSE's current owned and contracted generating capacity and is more than PSE has acquired in its 150-year history. The contract administrator role will play an important part of coordinating, evaluating, and working with electric contracts to supply PSE customers with power. This position supports PSE's energy supply department in contract administration and compliance consistent with corporate risk management and corporate policies. Assists with ongoing contract matters to include the negotiation, preparation, and administration of energy supply contracts. Works with contract counterparties to manage requests on maintenance, scheduling, metering issues, contract interpretation, etc. Prepares spreadsheets and data analyses of existing contracts. Ensures tracking, analytics, and data integrity within spreadsheets. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Prepares and distributes contracted power and statistical and financial reports to authorized parties as required. Interprets physical and financial data by calculating, analyzing, and verifying compliance of contract provisions. Assists in coordinating and resolving energy transaction discrepancies with counterparties by negotiating and implementing mutually acceptable resolutions. Assists in the negotiation, management, and administration of electric related contracts. Assists with establishing and maintaining positive relationships with counterparties, industry stakeholders, other organizations, and PSE departments. Supports verification that trade floor transactions and counterparty transaction language are in compliance with the terms of master agreements. Generates and/or validates transaction confirmations agreed to between PSE and counterparties. Assists in the economic and statistical analyses of potential and/or electric supply acquisitions. Provides feedback to energy trading function regarding contract settlement issues to assist in utilizing resources most effectively. Provides support for other departmental and administrative activities, initiatives, and projects. Maintains and ensures the integrity of the contracts database. Travels to contracted sites for meetings and/or site documentation opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Two (2) years relevant work experience.
