We are looking for a skilled Third-Party Due diligence Legal Specialist to join our dynamic team and ensure our operations comply with all legal standards. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

This job is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Assess and assign risk ratings to third-party intermediaries based on comprehensive reviews of due diligence reports, collected due diligence information and documentation.

  • Provide detailed justifications for assigned risk ratings, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Perform analyses on third parties and, where appropriate, approve or reject business compliance-related requests.

  • Provide guidance and responses to daily inquiries from peers, front-line and management regarding due diligence matters and case analysis, when appropriate.

  • Assist with the preparation of companywide ethics awareness communication initiatives and the organization of ethics awareness events.

  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations and updates for relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Approve appropriate mitigation actions to address identified risks, ensuring compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies.

  • Monitor the implementation of mitigation actions and their effectiveness.

  • Give final approval for the vetting process to proceed, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.

  • Work closely with Compliance, sales, and procurement teams to ensure a coordinated approach to third-party risk management.

  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams and third parties on compliance requirements and best practices.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies and procedures.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.

  • 1-3 years experience in a related field.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Organization and data management competencies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth understanding of anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations, such as the FCPA and UK Bribery Act.

  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance or risk management.

  • Experience of working in a multinational environment.

  • Proficiency in any other foreign languages like Italian/French/Spanish.
