University of Iowa Community Credit Union Trust Administrator in Clive, Iowa

Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists all Senior/Trust Officers in managing and administering investment management accounts, trusts, conservatorships, estates, financial plans, and other approved products/services by performing the following duties.

Pay range for this hourly position is $29.17 - $39.00/hr with a progressive benefits package.

Position Details:

Ideally, this person will work from one of our branches located in Iowa City, IA or Des Moines, IA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change:

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState'smission and vision.

  • Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.

  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties andresponsibilities.

  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.

  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.

  • Supports all Senior/Trust Officers in the internal administration of accounts in order to ensuretimely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting as required by the controlling document,applicable laws, internal policies, and procedures.

  • Locates and places funds, securities and other assets into Trust Services accounts.

  • Executes disbursement of funds under the guidance of all Senior/Trust Officers.

  • Prepares and gathers appropriate discretionary distribution documents under the guidance of allSenior/Trust Officers.

  • Performs account maintenance in trust accounting system.

  • Assists with opening and closing accounts.

  • Complete and monitor bill pay services for members.

  • Communicates with Operations as required to resolve intermediate problems associated withaccount administration.

  • Organizes and maintains the customer filing system and ensures accuracy for compliance examsand audits.

  • Maintains the Client Call Log.

  • Answers phones and provides phone backup for all Senior/Trust Officers and other departmentofficials.

  • Prepares sales presentations and coordinates marketing activities for the department.

  • Communicates with clients and their agents relative to minor/intermediate account issues.

  • Supports all Senior/Trust Officers with proposals, quarterly client review presentations, andannual administrative account reviews.

  • Complies with Trust rules and regulations.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  • Associate degree, plus two to four years of experience in Private Banking, Wealth Managementaccount administration, the financial service industry, or equivalent combination of education andexperience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, andfundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practicalsituations.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations whereonly limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated bybusiness demand.

  • Ability to effectively work internally across business lines and externally across organizations in ateam environment to provide products and services for members.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other PC based software applications.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Senior Vice President/Wealth Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.
