JOB REQUIREMENTS: Process Control & Instrumentation Specialist (First Shift) - 265 Primary Purpose of the Role: Perform all facets of maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of Company equipment, buildings, and grounds. On their assigned shift, they are responsible for electrical/mechanical projects, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting via PLC-controlled systems. Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Knowledge of proper PPE and electrical hazards requiring protection. * Knowledge of The National Electrical and local electrical codes. * Knowledge of PLC-based applications, including Allen-Bradley RSLogix 5000 and Siemens S7. * Knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance practices and procedures. * Knowledge of engineering practices and procedures and related mathematics. * Skilled in the practical application of electrical testing devices. * Ability to read and understand electrical plans and complex circuit schematics. * Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and compute electrical formulas. * Ability to program basic PLC based control and variable speed drives. * Knowledge of mechanical tools and measuring devices. * Ability to determine mechanical failure and facilitate repair using proper tools. * Ability to TIG weld at a level of structural integrity and finish that meets USDA guidelines. * Knowledge of HMI devices including modification of programs (Panelview, Parker, Siemens, GE Fanuc). * Knowledge of general pneumatic and hydraulic controls and devices. * Ability to understand and modify Motion Control using RSLogix 5000 & Siemens Step 7 Simotion. Compensation & Incentives: The compensation range for this position is \$33 - \$37 based on experience & education * 10-12 paid holidays per year * Health, Dental and Vision Insurance * Term Life Insurance @ 2x based salary annualized, (100% Company funded) * Supplemental Life Insurance (Available at your cost for self and dependents) * Short/Long Term Disability (100% Company funded) * Accidental Death & Dismemberment @ 2x base salary annualized, (100% Company funded) * On your start date, you will begin accruing vacation on a prorated basis of 8 hours per month * On the 1 st of each year, you will receive 96 hours of vacation Position Requirements: * Must be proficient with variety of shop tools, processes and related diagnostic/measuring devices for common and also infrequent uses in: equipment assembly, disassembly, machining, fabrication, rebuilds, installation, adjustment, modifications, alignment, cutting, welding, pipefitting and misc. other tasks for the overall maintenance of equipment and buildings. * Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize work load, respond to changing priorities, and have good judgment coupled with effective decision making skills in the performance of all duties and tasks. * Must be able to read, comprehend, communicate and perform tasks effectively using Detail, Assembly or Installation Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals. * Incumbent must be able to communicate, understand and take appropriate action through verbal contact with peers, other Company personnel and outside partners, whose technical experience and abilities may be wide ranging. * Assistance in training staff is required and may be varied in scope. A.) Electro/Mechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Robotics * Prior experience with typical industrial control systems, Profibus, Ethernet and/or other industrial networking methods Required Qualifications : * Score an 69 and higher average on the Ramsey Main Test and/or 10 years of related maintenance experience * Must excel in multi craft experience in a time effective manner daily. * Continuing education opportunities 3 credits a year. * Proficient and demonstrates machining skills. * Proficient and demonstrates electrical trouble shooting skills. * Proficient and demonstrates the ability to improvise when needed.
