Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Finger Lakes Region, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including payroll, employee records, and compliance. This role supports FLACRA’s mission, vision, and values by ensuring efficient HR processes and maintaining a positive employee experience.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse individuals, staff, and external partners.

  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, problem-solving, and time management, especially under pressure.

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Knowledge of payroll systems, HR compliance regulations, and benefits administration.

    Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in HR, payroll, or benefits administration.

  • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) and database management.

  • Understanding of labor laws and best practices in human resources.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate suggestions, concerns, and complaints to the supervisor promptly.

  • Maintain and update employee records, databases, and benefits information.

  • Administer and process all aspects of payroll accurately and on schedule.

  • Stay informed about current HR trends and manage human resource information systems effectively.

  • Oversee and ensure a thorough orientation process for all new employees.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for payroll-related inquiries and issues.

  • Reconcile benefit billing and statements to ensure accuracy.

  • Conduct routine audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs to maintain compliance and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with management to identify and address non-compliance with HR policies and procedures.

  • Propose and implement cost-saving measures related to payroll, benefits, and other HR operations.

  • Compile and analyze data for monthly and ad-hoc statistical or reporting needs.

  • Foster professional and positive relationships with employees, providing strength-based support.

  • Stay updated on Department of Labor regulations and HR compliance laws, ensuring organizational adherence.

  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
