Become a Journeyman Welder Mechanic and fuel the energy that powers rural communities! What youll do: Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and structures in and around the power plant including but is not limited to steam generators, turbine generators, electrical generators, compressors, pumps, fans, vehicles, tractors, all coal handing equipment, valves, and piping. Possess knowledge of ASME boiler and pressure vessel code welding practice and procedures as well as, the knowledge of welding equipment operation. Required to read and interpret prints, sketches, and technical manuals. Required to work from heights.

What youll need: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of five years experience in heavy industrial mechanical repair with two of those years working as a certified high-pressure welder. Obtain passing result from the applicable pre-employment test(s) including successfully completing the established AECI welding test(s) pre and post hire. Basic computer skills required.
