This role will oversee the national strategy for engagement with Foundations and Corporations as well as the fundraising for the priorities in Research and Education.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and facilitates funding source identification, proposal preparation, and pre- and post-award negotiations between CCF professionals, individuals and organizations providing funding.

• Directs and mentors employees in achieving their productivity goals and increasing their technical abilities/skill levels in critical aspects of funds acquisition.

• Manages consultants.

• Develops vision and implementation strategies for the generation of funding.

• Represents the department in its interactions with the Board of Trustees, senior CCF management, and external professional/community audiences.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Advanced degree preferred.

Certifications:

• None Required.

Complexity of Work:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

• At least ten years of progressively more responsible management experience in the acquisition of funding from individual, government, foundation and corporate sources.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

• Ability to move up to 15 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $72.70

Maximum hourly: $143.58
