University Hospitals Health System Sr. Telephone Operator in Cleveland, Ohio
Description Answers and directs all internal and external calls from the main hospital number in a prompt and courteous manner, working with audio and radio paging systems. Answers and screens all internal and external calls and pages/direct callers and emergency teams to the appropriate individual or department. Provides daily maintenance service for the paging system. Knowledge of workstation applications and UH on call system used in the department. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Monday-Friday schedule will be 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend schedule will be 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Full time 40 hours per week. This position is at the Cleveland Medical Center.
