JOB DESCRIPTION
American Mine Door is custom steel fabricator providing underground mining equipment to clients across the globe. We are looking for a general labor/shop assembly person for immediately hire.
We are seeking an individual that has the desire to learn about our products and manufacturing techniques to become an asset to the company. Experience and exceptional mechanical aptitude. Trade school graduates encouraged to apply.
*POSITION OVERVIEW: * This general labor position requires multiple tasks; a position where the person will "float" on a daily basis dependent upon that particular days needs. Days may be spent saw cutting. Packaging for delivery. Truck-loading or running other equipment. This position requires someone with mechanical aptitude that can remain on-task at a fast pace to accomplish each days tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- *Saw cutting *of steel - angle iron, bar, I-beam, flat stock etc. Must be capable to saw cut these items to specified tolerances and exact quantities.
- Crane and lift-truck operation-- experienced with the safe operation of overhead cranes and the driving a lift-truck to transport materials throughout the facility (material-handling).
- *Packaging *and crating products per instructions for delivery
- *Truck loading *and un-loading -- able to safely operate cranes and lift-trucks to load and un-load trucks. Must be able to accurately take counts and make sure items received are of correct sizes and counts as per Packing Lists.
