Position Summary
The Recruiting and Certification Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the recruitment and certification of Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Parents, including responsibility to train/teach TFC Parents. The Recruiting and Certification Specialist also understands community relations as well as the Re-Education Philosophies and Community Based service components.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform home study assessments, annual reviews, certification renewals and other related licensing tasks.
Ensure foster families comply with Pressley Ridge and DCY policies, procedures and regulations.
Conduct investigations and/or rule violations for foster families and implement corrective action plans or trainings as necessary.
Identify recruitment needs of treatment foster parents, interview potential treatment foster care parents, and complete pre-service training.
Disseminate information about Pressley Ridge services and programs that are offered to local organization and individuals that would like to learn more.
Represent Pressley Ridge at local, state and national conferences, seminars, and trainings through presenting relevant information.
Maintain documentation of in-home and other training activities and collect completed treatment foster care parent documents.
Qualifications
Clearances. State Police, FBI, and Child Protection per state regulations.
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing.
Environmental Factors. School, community, residence, office.
Working Hours. A non-traditional work schedule as defined by service needs and crisis "on call."

- Bachelors or better in Human Services
Experience
Required
- 1 year: Experience within the foster care system.
