Ohio Means Jobs Cleveland Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a WFD (Workforce Development) Program Director for a local non-profit organization. Position Summary The Program Director manages and supervises the vocational educational training and career services programs of the Workforce Development area of service and is responsible for screening and selection of program participants, coordinating client flow, tracking client participation, and the, delivery of training, job placement, and retention services. The Program Director also assists with the daily operations: scheduling, communicating with partner organizations and vendors, collecting data and drafting reports related to the programs. Essential Job Responsibilities • Manage and supervise the Vocational Education Programs: o Manage communications and collaborative relationships with partner organizations o Assist in recruitment/selection of program participants and coordinate and track clients throughout their time in the program o Meet with program participants one-on-one to address needs and/or concerns o Administer and track use of Emergency Client Assistance Funds o Attend meetings and/or trainings stakeholders as needed o Oversee and track Ohio Means Jobs or other County referrals for the culinary training program o Ensure supervision and safety protocols are followed for Chopping for Change (C4C) participants • Manage and supervise Career Services: o Manage communications and collaborative relationships with partner organizations o Manage soft skill instruction, job placement, and retention services o Assist in recruitment/selection of program participants and coordinate and track clients throughout their time in the program o Develop and supervise placement requirements • Serve as Clients Rights Officer for Workforce Development program participants • At the discretion of the Vice President, Monitor Director of Trade School and primary contact for State Board of Career Colleges; Serve as Chief Administrative Officer and primary contact for Council on Occupational Education. Oversee compliance with staff training, curriculum design, annual reporting and renewals for each certifying body. • Monitor continued validation of program by the American Culinary Federation; pursue further opportunities for accreditation/validation. • Monitor the development of new curriculums, certificate programs, and degree programs • Create yearly staff and educational calendars for the training programs, including staff training and professional development days; • Provide input on annual program work plan and create and edit reports for internal and external use • Lead on grant/contract reporting, and coordinate with AFS for financial reports • Maintain comprehensive data collection and provide regular reports and correspondence as required • Administers training contracts and builds/maintains key funder relations • Monitor COA and HIPPA compliance where applicable • Coordinate volunteer recruitment and involvement • Provide budget input, manage expenses • Manage program budgets and control expenses of Vocational Education and Career Services areas • Lead in the daily communication with LMM staff and partners at NERC and ODRC • Assist with coordination of C4C events, including communication with NERC and any outside partners • Schedule security walk-throughs with NERC team members • Communicate day to day operations with NERC and LMM staff partners • Point of contact for Shift Captain on duty • Lead in emergency response as available • Conduct exit interviews as participants exit the program • Attend new inmate orientation, reentry fairs, and summits at NERC or ODRC as needed, work with Development and Comm
