OEM Project Manager Chemist Cleveland, OH Are you a Chemist with exceptional project management skills and Japanese language skills? Look no further than this position! We have an exciting, challenging, and unique opportunity for you to use all of your skills and expertise to deliver next level results to our customers as part of the PPG Inc., PKAF Color team. As the OEM Project Manager Chemist, you will be responsible to lead continuous improvement of product and process for Auto OEM customers. This person may have to oversee the work of others without direct authority. This is an Onsite role at our Clevland, OH facility and will report directly to the Technical Manager, Americas Auto OEM Responsibilities: Working with global PPG Kansai Automotive Finishes (PKAF) teams Utilizing project management skills to independently plan and direct all aspects of their project areas including product/process transfer and complexity reduction. Initiating and fostering scientific exchange with internal and external technical associates. Application of root cause analysis and BPI tools to lead resolution of technical, manufacturing, and field issues. Leading formula optimization and raw material initiative projects Working closely with cross-functional/regional technical, operation, business, service teams and internal/external customers. Ability to ideate, develop and execute projects using a high degree of technical competence. Seeking Kaizen projects and concisely describes action plans to appropriate parties. Managing resources and timeline of projects Impacting technical direction on projects supporting various customers. Demonstrating ability to lead more than one technology area. Communicates at all levels, motivates peers and associates in cooperative efforts. Earning support of associates in a variety of situations and environments and driving positive change through a culture of innovation. Qualifications: Bachelor's Science Degree in Chemistry or related Engineering or Science field with 3 or more years of industry experience required. Previous project management experience required. Experience using the following: Oracle, RMIR/MOC, LFA, INDX/NPD/OPLA/RMT, Teams/SharePoint preferred. Japanese language skills are required.
