Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines. You will focus on automation machine tool electrical maintenance across various CNC equipment, including mills, machining centers, and robotics. Experience with over 35 OEM brands and equipment such as P&H cranes, conveyors, and ABB robots is essential. Key tasks include repairing CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc and Siemens, troubleshooting AC/DC drives, sensors, wiring, and 480V systems, and using a laptop for diagnostics.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair CNC machines and automation equipment.
Work with CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics.
Repair CNC and PLC equipment from brands like Fanuc and Siemens.
Troubleshoot AC/DC drives, sensors, cables, and encoders.
Use an MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance.
Prioritize repairs based on equipment value stream.
Essential Skills
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and PLC programming.
Knowledge of electrical maintenance, wiring, and control systems.
Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc controls.
Familiarity with HMI programming and troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Electrician.
Associate Degree in Industrial Automation.
Ability to work independently on CNC equipment repairs.

Work Environment
- This position is in a manufacturing facility with heavy industrial conditions. Shifts are Friday to Sunday, 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM. Initial training will be 40 hours per week during the first 2-4 weeks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
