CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS This position will be responsible for mastering all functions of planning through Transportation Management System (TMS) and ensuring its efficient use across operations. The Logistics Planning Manager will have a primary focus on managing the TMS, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and identifying cost savings opportunities through data-driven insights. This role will work closely with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize fleet performance and maximize operational efficiency. TMS SME for Private Fleet (CTS) planning through TMS; understanding each fleets full functionality, capabilities, and limitations. Manage TMS utilization and compliance by ensuring system alignment with CTS operational requirements. Update system strategy and parameter files that correspond with any operational changes. Partner with IT & TMS Support to resolve any complex system failures. Lead fleet planning optimization during operational transitions. Manage enhancement requests and provide SOPs for system usage and upgrades. CIP and Logistics Data metrics. Transportation modeling - using both Transportation Modeler and TMS, identify additional cost savings opportunities for the entire NOAM Logistics network including Fleet, LTL, and TL planning. Document these opportunities and assist with completing CIP's. Maintain data integrity within each Logistics system/database including but not limited to TMW, McLeod, Freight Db, and Samsara by identifying data cleansing opportunities and coordinating resolutions with internal partners and IT. Collaborate with Fleet Managers and Transportation planners to identify and implement process improvement that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Identify potential cost-savings opportunities for centralized Fleet and Logistics planning through TMS. Maintain Fleet KPI dashboards and metrics as needed. Supply Chain System Integration and Optimization Learn functionality of key Supply Chain tools and systems including AWCS, MIPS, TRAX, Carrier Routing Guide, and TMW/McLeod Analyze how these systems integrate with the TMS to ensure accurate, seamless flow of data. Identify opportunities to improve data synchronization and collaborate with IT to leverage enhancements. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Advanced Degree KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required 2+ years' experience in private fleet planning 2+ years' experience with TMS, preferably Blue Yonder or OTM. Knowledge of Carrier Performance and LTL load build restrictions. Experience measuring logistics cost impact. Experience measuring fleet operations KPIs. Adept at analyzing data to find opportunities for fleet operations and process optimization. Preferred: 2+ years of project management experience JDA TMS Certification CTP Certification TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: 2+ years experience with a TMS Knowledge of B Transportation Modeler Knowledge of AWCS Customer Order Master and Planning modules Knowledge of fleet systems including TMW, MIPS, McLeod, OnBase, and Samsara Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAP BO.
