The Lead Project Manager role will oversee the delivery of high-quality information systems-specific projects using Waterfall methodologies. As a lead-level professional with extensive knowledge and experience in project management principles and information systems leading practices, the incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of various complex information systems projects. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for identifying project requirements, setting project objectives, and identifying project IT stakeholders. They will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including technical teams, business teams, application programmers, and leaders. The incumbent will coordinate work performed by IT stakeholders by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments and will work with the team to implement new project management tools and techniques. This role requires expertise in project management and information system methodologies. The incumbent will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They will be responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to successfully complete complex projects, and for mentoring and developing junior project managers. Oversee all project management tasks for internal information systems-specific projects, ensure they align with project and organization's strategic goals, and refine tasks as needed Assist in setting the strategic vision and goals of projects, and provide guidance and direction to the team as they manage projects Determine that project scope is well-defined and aligns with project objectives and best practices Approve project budgets in coordination and ensure proper cost management throughout the project lifecycle Oversee the completion of work, ensuring that tasks are being completed on time and within budget, and take corrective action if necessary Own risk management plans to mitigate potential issues and guide the team on how to properly track and identify risks Ensure the project team provides accurate and timely updates, and manage the team's relationship with senior management, key stakeholders, and project sponsors Own the development and implementation of project quality control and quality assurance procedures, collaborating with the project team and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient processes Foster a culture of collaboration and alignment between technical and business stakeholders, encouraging open communication and effective problem-solving Encourage the team to consider new approaches, methodologies, and technologies to keep the organization competitive and deliver high-quality projects aligned with business objectives Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Project Management, or in lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of experience in the field of project management or Information Technology Preferred Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), or CAPM Knowledge and Experience Required 6-8 years of experience in project management with a focus on information systems (ideally involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, and/or PC deployment) Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques Expertise in project planning, scheduli
